A creature called Scrib from Elder scrolls: Morrowind.
I go by Scribjerky in a lot of places specifically after this little creature. They are so fucking precious.
Oblivion M’aiq with his blue robes, Skyrim M’aiq with his yellow robes or Morrowind M’aiq with his Colovian Fur Helm.
I haven’t actually ever found M’aiq in Morrowind and first met him in Oblivion, so I might draw him in his blue robes.
But… THE COLOVIAN FUR HELM. Morrowind M’aiq is a personal favorite of mine.
Got bored with my Imperial thief, and decided to spend some time with my Orc mage, Nella. When I got her into the College Of Winterhold, I was excited to have her speak with Urag gro-Shub, who is both a mage and a librarian. While I was disappointed by the lack of unique dialogue, I did take notice of something that escaped my attention in previous Skyrim playthroughs.

This Orc was librarian of the College Of Winterhold before the Third Era.
Third fucking Era.
For TES fans who don’t understand the significance of this, allow me to summarize Tamriel’s timeline:
4th Era = 201 years
3rd Era = 433 years
Assuming the College Of Winterhold didn’t put an Orc in charge of its library before he fully reached maturity, we can tack an extra 20 years onto this, which would make Urag gro-Shub 654 years old. To the best of my knowledge, Orcs in the TES universe do not live any longer than Nords or Imperials, which is roughly 80 years. The exception to this rule, of course, is when someone is a powerful mage, and Urag would have to be exceptionally so in order to achieve such a lengthy lifespan.
Either I’ve grossly misunderstood TES timelines, or Bethesda writers made a boo boo. Or Urag really is just that badass. I hope it’s the latter because I love orcs, but I’m skeptical.
Actually, Orcs (also known as Orismer) are descendants of elves! According to UESP, and various lore books:
The Orcs were supposedly created when the Daedric Prince Boethiah defeated the Aldmeri god Trinimac, transforming him into Malacath and his faithful, the Orsimer, into Orcs…
History has mislabeled them beastfolk, related to the goblin races, but the Orcs are actually the children of Trinimac, strongest of the Altmeri ancestor spirits.
Trinimac’s devout Elven followers became the Orsimer (“Pariah Folk” in Elvish), or Orcs.
So Orcs actually have the lifespans equal to Altmer, Dunmer and Bosmer. More than enough for it to make sense for Urag to be almost 700 years old! The only reason there aren’t a ton of old Orcs wandering Tamriel is because of their warlike nature. A lot of them die in battle well before they turn grey.
^^^ Truths. ORCS ARE MER GUYS. MER LIVE A LONG TIME AS LONG AS THEY AREN’T RUNNING INTO SHARP THINGS THAT KILL THEM.
